Notre Dame Secondary School, established in 1985, is a beacon of educational excellence in Nepal. Its roots can be traced back to the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND), a congregation of Roman Catholic Sisters who have been dedicated to providing quality education globally since 1833 A.D. The school began as a kindergarten under the guidance of SSND Sisters from Japan and rapidly evolved into a primary school. By 1996, the school had its first batch of students completing the 10th grade, marking the transition from high school to college education in Nepal. In 1997, the school initiated higher secondary education in science under the Higher Secondary Education Board of Nepal. Notre Dame's ethos is characterized by its commitment to inclusivity, with scholarship programs to support needy students. The teaching faculty at Notre Dame is a vibrant mosaic, with predominantly Nepalese educators and international volunteers from America, and Japan. The school has consistently upheld high standards of academic excellence, with an impressive track record in the School Leaving Certificate Examinations. Notre Dame's commitment to holistic development ensures that students graduate not only academically proficient but also imbued with values that shape responsible citizens. As we embark on a journey of learning and growth together, let Notre Dame be your guide, shaping minds, and building futures. Welcome to a community where education transcends boundaries, and each student is empowered to reach their fullest potential. Notre Dame Secondary School: Inspiring Minds, Shaping Futures.
